Seed Phrase
Lost Seed Phrase
The Seed Phrase is your security key to the eCredits Wallet app consisting of 12 words in a specific order. It is created upon registering with the eCredits Wallet app for the first time.
Why is the Seed Phrase important? You will need it in case you would like to migrate your wallet to a new device.
The Seed Phrase is designed to be known only to the wallet owner and is the only way to access and recover your wallet. Without it, it is not possible to access the wallet or retrieve its contents.
Due to the decentralized and secure nature of non-custodial cryptocurrency wallets, we unfortunately have no way to recover or reset a lost Seed Phrase.
We highly recommend that users store their seed phrases in a secure and accessible location!
Reveal Seed Phrase
Your Seed Phrase, that you have set up during the registration process, is stored under the Reveal Seed Phrase section. To access it, you will need to enter your PIN.
If you forgot your PIN, click on Forgot PIN. You will be redirected to the PIN Reset screen, where you will be asked to enter your password in order to set up a new PIN.
Once you have entered the PIN, you can look up your Seed Phrase.
Seed Phrase Backup
The Backup of your Seed Phrase is carried out as follows:
- Open your eCredits Wallet app
- Go to the “Settings” menu, “Security Settings” and then “Wallet Security”
- Click “Seed Phrase backup”
- Authenticate yourself with your PIN or Biometrics (depending on your settings).
Once authenticated, you’ll have the option to set a backup password (will be required when you import your Seed Phrase from a backup) or skip it.
To save your Seed Phrase click “Store”. The system will open your phone’s standard file sharing window and send you an encrypted file containing your Seed Phrase. Be sure to save it in a secure but accessible location so you can import the Seed Phrase when necessary.
Once you have stored your encrypted file you will have the chance to create another backup, or click back from the top left side of the screen to exit security settings.
Important! To import your Seed Phrase, locate and open the encrypted file within the eCredits Wallet app, and enter your backup password if you set it.
The Seed Phrase Backup is the option of any user to restore their Seed Phrase by providing the encrypted file and Backup Password. This allows the users to access their wallet in case they forgot their Seed Phrase.
By using the Seed Phrase Backup Feature, the user add an extra layer of protection to their encrypted file. The Backup Password should not be the same as the eCredits log in password or any other personal password.
Lost PIN
Please note that you can log in to the eCredits Wallet app at any time using your password.
The PIN function is only intended as a “convenience” function so that users can log in more easily and quickly.
However, the most important credential is the password. To restore your PIN, you need to reinstall the eCredits Wallet app.

ATTENTION: To perform this process you must know your Seed Phrase. Otherwise, your eCredits Funds will be lost forever!
New Device Migration
When importing your wallet onto a new device, it will ask you for your Seed Phrase.
You are the only one who has this phrase in your wallet.
No-one else has access to your Seed Phrase; if it is lost or forgotten, no one will be able to help you retrieve it. Again, if you cannot access your Seed Phrase, your funds are lost. Therefore, we strongly urge you to record and keep your Seed Phrase in a secure place.
This extra layer of security has been provided to prevent accidental access to your Seed Phrase.
To migrate your wallet to another device, simply scan the QR code with the other device or type in the Words of the Seed Phrase.
App Deleting/Reinstallation
ATTENTION: Before uninstalling the eCredits Wallet app, make sure that your Seed Phrase* is recorded and stored securely.
*Your Seed Phrase is an extended password of 12 secret words in a specific order.
Losing, forgetting or otherwise not accessing your Seed Phrase will cause the loss of all your funds if you uninstall the eCredits Wallet app.
To successfully re-install the eCredits Wallet app, please:
- Uninstall the app from your device. Be sure to also clean your cache (your device may ask you to clean leftover files from the deleted app, confirm this request)
- Download the eCredits Wallet app again from the App Store or Google Play
- Open the app on your device (Your device may ask you to give “Permissions”. Confirm this request)
- You will reach the log-in page. Please enter your e-mail and password
- Choose the profile you want to import (personal or business)
- Set your PIN
- Confirm your PIN (Don’t forget your PIN! Store it in a safe place)
- Import your Private Key (Scan QR code or use your Seed Phrase)
A) Choose “Scan QR-Code” to import your Private Key via QR-Code.
B) Chose “Import Seed Phrase” to enter your personal backup code (12 words in a specific order) - Enter the correct words, confirming each word with the space button. If the entered word displays in blue, it is correct. If the entered word displays red, it is incorrect, and you must change it. (To do this, tap the red word and try again.)
- Click “Done” and you’re all set!
ACT Swap
To swap eActivity (ACT) to eCredits (ECS), proceed as follows:
- Login to your eCredits Wallet app
- Click on “Assets” in the bottom navigation bar,
- Click on “ACT Swap” Button
Please note:
- Make sure that you always have at least 1 ECS in your eCredits Wallet app for the ACT swap. This is needed to pay the so-called gas fees (transaction fees).
- For the ACT swap, a new cycle rate is determined each month, ranging from a minimum of 5% to a maximum of 15%. This rate specifies the percentage of ACT that users can exchange for ECS each cycle.
- To qualify for swapping, your wallet addresses must have at least one completed purchase or sale within the last 30 days.

eCredits (ECS) on Metamask
eCredits (ECS) is the native coin of the eSync Network Blockchain. eSync Network is fully compatible with Ethereum and therefore, also Metamask can be used as a wallet.
